The Shahid Kapoor led O Romeo has scored decent results on Monday, with estimates in the range of Rs. 4 crores to Rs. 4.5 crores, but this is largely due to the buy one get one free offer given by the makers. The four-day total of O Romeo stands around the Rs. 32.5 crore mark, which is low, but still not disastrous.


The makers have opted for extreme measures like BOGO on the fourth day to help the film reach a respectable result, and the same seems to have helped with a fair hold on the fourth day. Without the offer, the film could have slipped much lower to the Rs. 3 crore mark.

While the hold is fair, the fate of O Romeo was sealed with the dip in business on Sunday. It’s an expensive film on a budget of approx. Rs. 130 crores, and the total business so far is far from what it needed. The film is headed for a finish around the Rs. 70 crore mark, that too with buy one get one free offer.

The mixed word of mouth has dented the theatrical prospects of O Romeo, and it probably needed better talk to sustain. There is a blockbuster Tuesday offer tomorrow, which will lead to a surge in business, and it’s all on the Wednesday numbers now for the long run trend.
